Historical Description
Draycott or Draycott-in-the-Clay, a township in Hanbury parish, Staffordshire, near the river Dove, 1 mile S of Sudbury station on the North Staffordshire railway, and 5 miles SE of Uttoxeter. It has a post office under Derby; money order and telegraph office, Sudbury. It includes the hamlets of Moreton and Stubby Lane. Acreage, 1930: population, 491. There is a Wesleyan chapel and a national school licensed for divine worship.
