Historical Description

Wilcote, a small parish in Oxfordshire, 3 miles SSE of Charlbury station on the Oxford, Worcester, and Wolverhampton section of the G.W.R. Post town, Charlbury, under Enstone. Acreage, 319; population, 8. The Manor House is a chief residence. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Oxford; gross value, £75. The church, a small building of stone in the Decorated style, consists of chancel, nave, N porch, and western turret, and has a Norman doorway.
