Historical Description

Wheatfield, a village and a parish in Oxfordshire, 4½ miles SSW of Thame station on the G.W.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Tetsworth. Acreage, 740; population of the civil parish, 80; of the ecclesiastical, 88. The manor belongs to the Spencers. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Oxford; net value, £194 with residence. The church, which is a very small building of flint, contains some memorials of the Rudge family.
