Historical Description
Warborough, a parish in Oxfordshire, 3 miles N by W of Wallingford station on the G.W.R. It includes the villages of Warborough and Shillingford, and has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Wallingford. Acreage, 1697; population, 658. There is a parish council consisting of seven members. The manor belongs to St John's College, Oxford. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Oxford. Patron, Corpus Christi College, Oxford. The church is a building of stone in the Early English and later styles, consisting of chancel, nave, chantry, S porch, and an embattled western tower. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
