Worton, Over, a village and a parish in Oxfordshire, 3½ miles SW of Deddington, and 4½ W of Somerton station on the G.W.R. Post town, Steeple Aston; money order office, Deddington; telegraph office, Middle Barton. Acreage, 631; population of civil parish, 89; of ecclesiastical, with Nether Worton, 118. The manor belongs to the Wilson family. The living is a rectory, with Nether Worton, in the diocese of Oxford; joint net value, £176 with residence. The church is a building of stone in the Decorated style.
