Garsington, a village and a parish in Oxfordshire. The village stands 3 miles E of the Thames, 3 SW from Wheatley station on the G.W.R., and 5 SE of Oxford; is a pretty place with some curious old houses, and has a post office under Oxford; money order and telegraph office, Wheatley. The parish comprises 2233 acres; population, 589. The living is rectory in the diocese of Oxford; net yearly value, £412 with residence. Patron, Trinity College, Oxford. The church is an ancient building -of stone in mixed styles, has some interesting features of Decorated English. '
