Clattercote, Oxfordshire
Historical Description
Clattercote, formerly an extra-parochial tract, now a parish in Oxfordshire, 2 miles N from Cropredy station on the G.W.R., and 6 N from Banbury. Post town, Leamington; money order office, Wardington; telegraph office, Cropredy station. Acreage, 325 of land and 13 of water; population, 9. A small priory or leper hospital was founded here by the Beauchamps before the time of King John, and some remains of it exist.
