Begbroke, Oxfordshire
Historical Description
Begbroke, a village and a parish in Oxfordshire, 1¼ mile SW of Kidlington station on the G.W.R., and 2½ miles SE by S of Woodstock. Post town, Kidlington, which is the money order and telegraph office. Acreage, 577; population, 79. A small portion of it once belonged to the abbey of Godstow. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Oxford; value, £191 with residence, in the gift of trustees three turns and Brasenose College one. The church has some Norman details, and is very good.
