Historical Description
Witton, a parish in Norfolk, 4 miles ENE of North Walsham station on the G.E.R. Post town, North Walsham, Acreage, 1764; population, 233. Witton Hall is the seat of Lord Wodehouse. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich; net value, £120 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Norwich. The church is a building of flint in the Early English style, the original nave, of Saxon work, having been lengthened eastwards. The tower has been rebuilt.
