Historical Description

Wilby, a parish in Norfolk, 1 mile E of Eccles Road station on the G.E.R., and 4 miles SSW of Attleborough. Post town, Attleborough. Acreage, 1421; population of the civil parish, 104; of the ecclesiastical, with Hargham, 165. The manor belongs to the Beevor family. The living is a rectory, united with Hargham, in the diocese of Norwich; gross value, £390. The church is an ancient building of flint in the Early English style. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
