Historical Description
Stratton St Michael, a parish in Norfolk, 1 mile NNE of Long Stratton, and 2½ miles ENE of Forncett Junction station on the Ipswich and Norwich section of the G.E.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Long Stratton. Acreage, 1086; population, 249. The living is a rectory, united with that of St Peter, in the diocese of Norwich; net value, £210 with residence. Patron, New College, Oxford. The church is an ancient building of flint in the Early English style, consisting of chancel, nave, S porch, and a low western tower with a wooden spire. There are Primitive Methodist and Wesleyan chapels.
