Felmingham, Norfolk
Historical Description
Felmingham, a village and a parish in Norfolk. The village stands near the river Bure, has a station on the Midland and Great Northern Joint railway, and is 2½ miles WSW of North Walsham, and 14 N by E of Norwich. The parish comprises 1896 acres; population, 424. It has a post office under North Walsham; money order and telegraph office, North Walsham. Felmingham Hall is a chief residence. The living is a double one, a vicarage and a rectory, in the diocese of Norwich; net value of th& vicarage, £88 with residence; of the rectory, £117. Patron of the vicarage, the Bishop of Norwich. The church is a building of brick in the Georgian style, and has a Perpendicular western tower of flint. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
