Historical Description
Edingthorpe, a parish in Norfolk, near the coast, 3¼miles NE from North Walsham station on the G.E.R. and Eastern and Midland railway, and 17¼ miles NE by N from Norwich. It has a post office under North Walsham; money order and telegraph office, Bacton. Acreage, 1204; population of the civil parish, 223; of the ecclesiastical, 183. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; gross yearly value, £200 with residence. Patron, the Duchy of Lancaster. The church has a round tower, a screen of the 15th century, and a good font, and is in fair condition.
