Historical Description
Crostwick, a village and a parish in Norfolk, on an affluent of the river Bure, 3¼ miles SW from Salhouse station on the G.E.R., and 4½ NNE of Norwich. There is a post office under Norwich; money order and telegraph office½ Coltishall. Acreage, 706; population, 147. Most of the houses stand round a fine common of 30 acres. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich; net yearly value, £125 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Norwich. The church is a building of rubble in the Perpendicular style, and consists of nave and chancel, with a tower.
