Thornham, Lancashire
Historical Description
Thornham, a township in Middleton parish, Lancashire, 3½ miles S by W of Rochdale, and 2¼ from Middleton station on the L. & Y.R. Acreage, 1936; population, 1895. Many of the inhabitants are employed in cotton mills, and fustian cutting is carried on. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
