Hucking, Kent

Historical Description

Hucking, a parish in Kent, 2½ miles N of Hollingboume station on the L.C. & D.R. Post town, Sittingbourne; money order and telegraph office, Hollingboume. Area, 1205 acres; population, 114. The manor belongs to the Dean and Chapter of Canterbury. The living is a vicarage, annexed to the rectory of Bicknor, in the diocese of Canterbury. The church has Norman parts and was restored in 1870, when a new font of red marble was erected.
