Ditton, a parish in Kent, near the river Medway, three-fourths of a mile SSW of Aylesford station on the S.E.R., and 3¼ miles NW of Maidstone. Post town, Maidstone; money order office, Larkfield; telegraph office, East Mailing. Acreage, 1069; population, 874. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury; gross value, £430 with residence. Patron, the Earl of Aylesford. The church is Decorated English, and has been carefully restored.
