Historical Description

Tufton or Tuckington, a parish in Hants, 1¼ mile S by W of Whitchurch station on the L. & S.W.R. Post town, Whitchurch, under Mitcheldever Station. Acreage, 1546; population, 137. The manor belongs to the Earl of Portsmouth. The living is annexed to Bullington. The chancel of the church was restored in 1887.
