Privett, Hampshire
Historical Description
Privett, a parish in Hants, 5 miles from Ropley station on the L. & S.W.R. It has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Alton. Acreage, 1279; population, 227. The church is a handsome building of flint in the Early English style, with a western tower containing eight bells. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Winchester; net value, £135 with residence.
