Historical Description
Colbury, a tithing in Hants. It stands 1½ mile from Eling, and 1 from Lyndhurst road station on the L. & S.W.R., a,nd has a post office under Southampton; money order and telegraph office, Totton. Population, 982. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Winchester; value, £223. The church, erected in 1870, is in the Early English style.
