Christon, Hampshire
Historical Description
Christon, a parish in Somerset, 2½ miles from Sandford and Banwell station on the G.W.R., and 4 NW of Axbridge, which is the post town. Acreage, 574; population, 62. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells; net value, £90 with residence. The church is Early Norman, or as some suppose partly Anglo-Saxon.
