Historical Description

Eyford, a village and a parish in Gloucestershire, 3 miles W by S of Stow-on-the-Wold, which is the post town. Acreage, 1241; population, 75. Eyford Park is the chief residence. There is no church. Milton is said to have written. part of Paradise Lost in Eyford.
