Windlestone, a township in Coundon ecclesiastical parish, Auckland St Andrew parish, Durham, 3½ miles ESE of Bishop Auckland station on the N.E.R. Post town, Bishop Auckland; money order and telegraph office, Coundon. Acreage, 1188; population, 176. Windlestone Hall is the seat of the Eden family.
