Thrislington, Durham

Historical Description

Thrislington, a township in Bishop Middleham parish, Durham, with a station at West Cornforth on the Hartlepool and Ferryhill railway, 6½ miles S by E of Durham. Acreage, 594; population, 91. There is a Wesleyan chapel. For ecclesiastical purposes the township is joined to Cornforth. There is a colliery.
