Mordon, Durham
Historical Description
Mordon or Morden, a township in Sedgefield parish, Durham, on the river Skeme, 8 miles NE of Darlington and 2¼ from Sedgefield station on the N.E.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Ferry Hill. Acreage, 1570; population, 133. A small Wesleyan chapel was erected in 1892. Mordon Carr is a tract of bog land.
