Glaidney or Glaidney-Cotton, Fifeshire

Historical Description

GLAIDNEY, or Glaidney-Cotton, a village, in the parish and district of Cupar, county of Fife; containing 195 inhabitants. This village is situated near the southern extremity of the parish, and is connected with the northern portion by a handsome bridge over the river Eden. It is chiefly inhabited by persons employed in the various manufactures of the town and parish.
