Historical Description

EAGLESFIELD, a village, in the parish of Middlenie, county of Dumfries: containing 456 inhabitants. This is the principal of three flourishing villages in the parish, erected within the last twenty or thirty years, and the inhabitants of which are to a considerable extent engaged in weaving.
