Winterborne Thomson, a parish in Dorsetshire, 4½ miles WSW of Bailey Gate station on the Somerset and Dorset Joint railway, and 6½ S of Blandford. Post town, Blandford. Acreage, 477; population, 28. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Salisbury; gross value, £60. The church is a small building of stone and brick in the Early English style.

The parish church of St. Andrew is a small and plain building of stone and brick in the Early English style, consisting of apsidal nave and a turret containing one bell: the church was wholly rebuilt and repewed by Archbishop Wake (1716-1737): there are 35 sittings.
