Historical Description
Cripplestyle is a hamlet in the civil parish of Alderholt, East Dorset, close to the Hampshire border. It lies approximately 2 miles north of Verwood, which is its nearest town. It was formerly a hamlet of the parish of Cranborne up until 1894.
