Historical Description

CROSSFORD, a village, in the parish of LESMAHAGOW, Upper ward of the county of LANARK, 5 miles (N. W. by W.) from Lanark; containing 431 inhabitants. lt is situated in the northern part of the parish, and on the high road from Lanark to Hamilton. The river Clyde, which bounds the parish on the east, passes close to the village.
