Historical Description
CROSSFORD, a village, in the parish and district of DUNFERMLINE, county of FIFE, 2 miles (S. W. by W.) from Dunfermline; containing 443 inhabituuts, This village, which is situated on the road to Kincardine and Alloa, is built on the lands of Pitferrane, the property of Sir C. Halket, Bart. It is chiefly inhabited by persons employed in agriculture, and in works near the village.
