Historical Description

CRAIGIELANDS, a hamlet, in the parish of KIRPATRICK-JUXTA, county of DUMFRIES, 2¼ miles (S. by W.) from Moffat, containing 84 inhabitants. It is about a mile north-west by west from Kirkpatrick, and a short distance south of the Evan water. The hamlet is small and scattered.
