Condorat, Dumbartonshire

Historical Description

CONDORAT, a village, in the parish of CUMBERNAULD, county of DUMBARTON, 2½ miles (S. W.) from Cumbernauld; containing 709 inhabitants. It is situated on the north side of the river Logie, and on the high road from Glasgow to Stirling. Part of the population is employed in weaving and other manufactures of the district. A school is aided by an annual allowance from the heritors.
