Calf, Argyleshire

Historical Description

CALF, an island, in the parish of KILNINIAN and KILMORE, district of MULL, county of ARGYLL. This island, which is of extremely small extent, lies off Tobermory, in the north-eastern part of the parish, and in that portion of the Sound of Mull which borders on Loch Sunart. Its length is about three times as great as its breadth, and it stretches in a direction parallel to the coast of the main land.
