Bonkle, Lanarkshire
Historical Description
BONKLE, a village, in the parish of Cambusnethan, Middle ward of the county of Lanark; containing 110 inhabitants. It is a small romantic village, situated on the northern boundary of the parish, and on the road from Steuart-Town to Shotts. The United Presbyterian Synod have a place of worship here.
