Historical Description

BANETON, or Bawnton, a village, in the parish of Kennoway, district of Kirkcaldy, county of Fife, 1 mile (N. N. E.) from Kennoway; containing 204 inhabitants. It is in the north-eastern portion of the parish, and a little north of the road between Kennoway and Cupar.
