AUCHMILLAX, a hamlet, in the parish of MAUCHLINE, district of KYLE, county of AYR, 2 miles (N. by E.) from Mauchline; containing 24 inhabitants. This place is situated, equidistantly, between the roads from Mauchline to Kilmallock and from Sorn Castle to Galston. The number of the population has latterly declined.
