Stoke Wake, Dorset

Historical Description

Stoke Wake, a parish in Dorsetshire, 5½ miles S of Sturminster station on the Somerset and Dorset railway. Post town, Blandford. Acreage, 1087; population, 96. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Salisbury; net value, £110 with residence. The church was rebuilt in 1872.

The parish church of All Saints is an edifice of stone consisting of chancel, nave of three bays, north aisle, south porch and a western turret containing one bell; it was rebuilt in 1872, and has 120 sittings.
