Historical Description
MANNIN, an island, in the parish of KILCOE, Western Division of the barony of WEST CARBERY, county of CORK, and province of MUNSTER, 8 miles (W.) from Skibbereen, on the south-western coast 5 containing 15 inhabitants. It is situated near the head of Roaring Water bay, immediately off Kilcoe Castle, and comprising about 29 statute acres of good arable land. See KILCOE.
