Historical Description
Edmondsham, a parish in Dorsetshire, 1½ mile S of Cranborne, and 2 miles from Verwood station on the L. & S.W.R. It includes West Worth, and its post town is Cranborne, under Salisbury. Acreage, 1803; population, 231. Edmondsham House, the seat of the Monro family, is a chief residence. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Salisbury; net value, £204. The church is small, and there is a Methodist chapel.

St. Nicholas (parish church)
The parish church of St. Nicholas is an ancient building of stone in the Early English and Perpendicular styles, and was restored and reseated in 1862; it consists of chancel, nave, north aisle, south porch and an embattled tower at the west end of the north aisle, containing 3 bells: beneath the east end of the north aisle is the family vault of the Husseys, the ancient owners of the parish: there are 150 sittings.
