Hainstown, Kildare

Historical Description

HAINSTOWN, a parish, in the barony of SOUTH SALT, connty of KILDARE, and province of LEINSTER, 2½ miles (E. by N.) from Naas, with which the population is returned. It is a chapelry, in the diocese of Kildare, united with that of Furnaughts, and in the gift of the bishop: the tithes amount to £6. 17. 6. In the R. C. divisions it forms part of the union or district of Kill.
