Grange-Kilree, Kilkenny

Historical Description

GRANGE-KILREE, a parish, in the barony of SHILLELOGHER, county of KILKENNY, and province of LEINSTER, 5 miles (S.) from Kilkenny, on the road to West Jerpoint; containing 145 inhabitants and l052 statute acres. It is a rectory and vicarage, in the diocese of Ossory, forming part of the union of Burnchurch: the tithes amount to £114. In the R. C. divisions it is part of the union or district of Donemagan.
