Thelbridge, Devon

Historical Description

Thelbridge, a parish in Devonshire, 5 miles from Lapford station on the L. & S.W.R., and 8½ NNW of Crediton. Post town, Witheridge, under Morchard Bishop. Acreage, 4006; population of the civil parish, 379; of the ecclesiastical, 238. There is a parish council consisting of seven members. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Exeter; gross value, £300 with residence. The church is Decorated English, and has been restored.
