Historical Description
Haddlesey, West, a township in the ecclesiastical parish of Haddlesey and Birkin civil parish, W.R. Yorkshire, near the river Aire and the Selby Canal, 4½ miles SW of Selby, and 3 from Hambleton station on the N.E.R. It has a post office under Selby; money order and telegraph office, Ham-bleton. Acreage, 1211; population, 152. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
