Todwick, West Riding of Yorkshire
Historical Description
Todwick, a small village and a parish in the W.R. Yorkshire, 1½ mile NW of Kiveton Park station on the M.S. & L.R., and 7½ miles SE of Rotherham. There is a post office under Sheffield; money order and telegraph office, Kiveton Park. Acreage, 1806; population, 200. The manor belongs to the Duke of Leeds. The living is a rectory in the diocese of York; net value, £139 with residence. The church is ancient, possibly of Saxon origin, and consists of chancel, nave, and a small embattled western tower.
