Penyghent or Pen y Ghent, West Riding of Yorkshire
Historical Description
Penyghent or Pen-y-Ghent, a mountain in the W.R. Yorkshire, 6½ miles E of Ingleborough, and 7 N of Settle. It rises to an altitude of 2270 feet, and has in its skirts several caves, " swallow holes," and curious little glens.
