Cock, West Riding of Yorkshire
Historical Description
Cock, The, a stream of W.R. Yorkshire. It rises above Aberford, and runs 10 miles north-eastward to the Wharfe, below Tadcaster. It was deeply ensanguined by the Battle of Towton in 1461.
