Potto, a village and a township in Whorlton parish, in the N.R. Yorkshire, with a station on the North Yorkshire and Cleveland section of the N.E.R., 4½ miles SW of Stokesley. Post town and money order office, Swainby; telegraph office, Hutton Rudby. Acreage of township, 1568; population, 189.
