Newton, a hamlet in Exelby Leeming, and Newton township, Burneston parish, N.R. Yorkshire, 2 miles SE of Bedale station on the N.E.R. Post town, Bedale; money order and telegraph office, Londonderry. Newton House is a chief residence.
