Historical Description
Newsham, a township in the N.R. Yorkshire. It lies 8¼ miles NW of Richmond station on the N.E.R., and is in Kirkby Ravensworth and Barningham parishes. Post town and telegraph office, Richmond; money order office, Ravensworth. Acreage, 3407; population, 211. Much of the surface is moor and woodland.
